During the last week we were occupied with the infrastructure of the Ground Station. New PCs have arrived, they are used for automatic satellite tracking, logging and one of them is used for the Mission Control Computer. During the second part of the week two brand new FT-897s arrived and we started to use them immediately. We have to work a lot till the automatic satellite tracking function can be used as default but in hand mode everything operates well. We successfully received telemetry signal from two CubeSats.
The satellite of the Nihon University was the first we have heard with the new radios. It’s name received in CW.
The second satellite was the Nihon University’s SEEDS-II. We picked up a part of it’s telemetry data.
