Are the satellites our instruments?

On 24 February 2011 we held a presentation on the request of the Klebelsberg Cultural Circle, Vác. Within the framework of Technical and Scientific Programs of Vác, Hungarian researchers, developers and engineers present their interesting current projects every month.

During the first part of the presentation Dr. Csaba Ferencz (ELTE Space Research Group) outlined the achievements and the position of Hungarian space research in the world, as well as the importance of space research and satellites in the sustainability of our civilization. In the second part of the presentation Zoltán Kovács (BME Masat-1 Development Team) introduced the first satellite developed, designed and built entirely in Hungary.

For more information about the Klebelsberg Cultural Circle’s programs please visit the Programs’ website.

The video recording of the presentation was made by the local TV of Vác.

The developers of MASAT-1 were also invited to the program, so it will be possible to meet also with us.

Software update and audio samples

Our updated client-software is available on this page. A known issue:

  • It was not tested and does not work with OpenJDK / JRE.

We have recorded a few seconds long communication signal. By playing it back, valid packets should be obtained by the software. These samples are available here:

Thank you for the highly helpful feedback you sent us about the software. Please keep us informed of your opinion and remarks.
